HEALTH & WELLNESS

Africa Ranks 1st and accounts for ⅔ of maternal mortality worldwide. Also, 1 in 13 children in Africa dies before their fifth birthday. This figure is 15 times higher than records for child mortality in high income countries and ridiculously about 20+ years behind world average as in 1999.

One thing is clear; poverty, poor quality of care, wild spread of infectious diseases and weak health care systems are amongst the leading causes of morbidity and mortality rates in Africa

CASAF works to make a unique contribution to addressing the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in Africa through program that enhance:

  • Community resilience through comprehensive health education/awareness
  • Maternal, Newborn and child health (MNCH).
  • Fight against HIV/AIDS and infectious disease.
  • Primary healthcare (PHC) system strengthening.
