A quick snapshot of education numbers in Africa shows a 42% dropout rate of school children before their last grade. Despite considerable progress in school enrollments in past years, the continuous effects of armed conflicts in Africa is keeping millions of children out of school and quite more unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic is said to have exacerbated issues making things even worse for vulnerable populations such as young girls, children with disabilities(PWD), indigenous peoples, refugees and the rural poor.

CASAF works to ensure that children learn in a nurturing environment that offers them the freedom to succeed both in school and in life by:

  • Increasing access to inclusive, equitable and quality education
  • Supporting lifelong learning opportunities,
  • facilitating smooth transition from school to work
  • Achieve a bullying, substance use and violence free schools.
Educationn in Emergencies (EiE)

CASAF promotes and facilitates access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for children  affected by conflicts and other emergencies. 

Early childhood development through play

We value play as a vital booster to children’s physical health and fitness, cognitive growth and development as well as opportunity for children to practice problem solving skills, creativity and independence.

Prevention and response to SRGBV

We  work to ensure that schools are safe and conducive for girls to learn and thrive unhindered by any form of violence including sexual and gender based violence. Our interventions tackle school related GBV from the roots.
