CHILD PROTECTION
Children have a right to survive, learn, play, be healthy and live in a nurturing environment that enhance their growth and development as well as leave them free from violence, abuse or exploitation.
CASAF works to protect and uphold the rights of children, and to promote their safety and well-being both in normalcy and during emergencies.
We work with teachers, policy makers, faith based organizations, parents, caregivers and other stakeholders to build resilience around child protection and healthy early childhood development in a bit to scale up the quality of care children receive thereby assuring an unhindered development and growth to adulthood. We do this by working to:
- End all forms of violence against children at home, online, in and out of schools including corporal punishment and sexual and gender based violence.
- Facilitate the healing and recovery of children who are harmed by technology-assisted child sexual abuse.
- Advocate for children’s right to education in a safe and nurturing environments.
- Push for a fair juvenile justice system for children in conflict with the law.
- Build community based mechanisms that enhance safety and wellbeing of children.
